MEASURING THE QUALITY OF YOUR VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE
Virtual Reality is more science than fiction nowadays. In the last five years, almost 30 different headsets have reached the mass market worldwide.
But the experiences inside the metaverse are very subjective and thus, comparing their specifications is almost impossible not only between different brands alone, but with different people on the same VR headset.
With this TESH HMD app you can finally throw some science to it and measure the quality of your VR experience.
From Real o Virtual (www.realovirtual.com) to Virtual Pixels (www.youtube.com/virtualpixels), every Major media in VR has used the first version of this app to test their VR headsets, including Tom’s Hardware, MixedRealityTV and +6.000 users at SteamVR Enviroments.
The app works inside VR and collect all the data that will allow you to compare it with all the other headsets in the market.
Measure with science your Metaverse with TEST HMD app now!

GEOMETRY TESTS
ABERRATION ZONE
Lenses are not perfect. Even the so called panacake technic generates aberrations. Detect them could be hard in a game. Use this special pattern to discover them.
SWEET SPOT ZONE
The perfect spot of the lens is where the image has the best quality (without aberrations). Find the perfect spot with this symbol and measure how wide it is.
COLOR & PATTERN TESTS
COLOR ZONE
Measure how the panel of your represents the colors. Is is natual? is it over-saturated? These two images takes account of all the color gamut and contrast details.
CONTRAST ZONE
Contrast is esencial for a VR headset. Oled panels and RGB panels have differences that you can finally measure. This interactive zone allows you to manipulate the contrast of the image with values to compare.
FIELD OF VISION TESTS
HORIZONTAL ZONE
Horizontal Field of Vision (hFOV) is one of the most important characteristic in a VR Headset as this is the amount of the Virtual World your eyes will see. Measure it with this application. BE AWARE: This test blocks your virtual head to measure the values correctly.
VERTICAL ZONE
Vertical Field of Vision (vFOV) is that completes the total Field of Vision in a headset. Measure it with this tool to discover how much of the virtual world your eyes will see though the lenses .
AUDIO TESTS
FREQUENCY TEST
Audio is the key to achieve VR presence. With this frequency tool you can detect the range of audible frecuencies your VR headphones can represent.
AMBISONIC ZONE
This zone uses the Ambisonic technic to determine the positional audio capabilities of your VR Headset. Move the radiating pole across your head and measure how your headphones work.
SCREEN RESOLUTION TESTS
RESOLUTION ZONE
Using VR to see a movie or cinematics is something we do every day. Check with this test four resolutions (4K, 2K, FHD, SD) and determine which one fits your headset better.
READ ZONE
Read a text inside VR is a diffcult task. The lenses have errors and the resolution is -still- low. Check with this test how much of the text you can read (Sweet Spot compatible).
